As work goes on with the new Chaos miniatures, I'm trying to figure out which colours I need to paint them before I actually can write a painting guide. Lots and lots of testing is needed, so expect the article to be posted within a week and a half. In the meantime I'll set up a guide regarding (cheap) painting tools which makes painting slightly more pleasant to do.

Trying to paint gold colours without using any metallic paints. So far the head looks decent enough.I think I'll stick to this colourscheme
During the whole progress I started to get the feeling which colorscheme I should pick for my Chaos Space Marines. As you can see I started to paint my Chaos Lord from the Dark Vengeance starterset. Though it seems decent enough so far, I'm not quite content about it. As I've used too much blue-ish colors on the armorplates, it doesn't make the cloak shine enough. I'll probably change the platings to a purple/red-ish color.
